Unlock the potential of Panaeolus cambodginiensis, a remarkable strain from Suphanburi, Thailand, collected by John Allen. This strain is known for producing exceptionally large specimens, reaching up to 1 cm larger than the typical size for the species. Ideal for microscopy and taxonomy research, these spores are provided in sterile aqueous solution for ease of use.

Product Features:

  • Spores in Sterile Aqueous Solution: Provided in 10cc BD Luer-Lok syringes, each with a 1.5in 16ga needle for easy inoculation.

Strain Details:

  • Habitat: Grows in manure and enriched soils, thriving in tropical and subtropical climates.
  • Climate: Tropical/Subtropical, perfect for regions with warm, humid conditions.
  • Strain Origin: Originally collected from Suphanburi, Thailand by John Allen.

Physical Characteristics:

  • Cap: The caps measure 10-50+ mm, starting hemispheric or campulate and expanding to broadly convex or nearly plane with age. Young pins are brownish olive, maturing to grayish white with flesh that bruises bluish.
  • Stem: The stem ranges from 80-115+ mm in length, typically equal, but occasionally slightly enlarged at the base. It is yellowish to gray, with bruising that turns bluish upon injury.
  • Gills: The gills are adnexed, beginning with a mottled grayish coloration that darkens to black as the mushrooms mature.
  • Spores: The spores measure 10-13 microns, with a black deposit. The spores are somewhat transparent under magnification, making them ideal for detailed microscopy studies.

Additional Notes:

  • Large Specimens: This strain is exceptional in size, often producing caps that are a full centimeter larger than typical published maxima under ideal conditions.
  • Comparative Strains: For more information and similar strains, see Panaeolus cambodginiensis, Sandose Domesticate, and the Sporeworks Subgenus Copelandia Gallery.
